His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, called on ministries, institutions and citizens to raise the UAE flag on Friday (Nov.1) to mark UAE Flag Day.
Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “Brothers and sisters, as we are accustomed to every year, we celebrate Flag Day, we celebrate the flag of the nation, we celebrate the symbol of our country, the secret of our strength and the source of our pride - the flag of the United Arab Emirates.
“We call on all ministries and institutions in the country to raise the UAE flag on Nov.1 this year at 11am at the same time and with united feelings. We call on all citizens to participate in this occasion, in which we express our love for this country, our loyalty to this flag and our renewed resolve to keep the flag of our union flying high to reflect the pride and glory of the United Arab Emirates.”
