Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern has given a pro-active meaning to compassion, inclusion and diversity. If she is a champion of humanity and has proved to be a leading light on how unity and harmony can be brought about among all ethnicities, then world leaders have someone they can emulate. And they should.
There are calls that she deserves the Nobel Peace prize. She deserves it, for sure. But a Peace prize will not help humanity if world leaders continue turning a Nelson’s eye to the evils lurking in their communities. Gun culture, white supremacy and radical religious ideologies have destroyed peace in many nations. Leaders who can’t walk the talk will not be able to stem the rot. Ardern has shown the way. Get real.
