The deadly blasts in churches in Sri Lanka that killed and wounded hundreds on Easter Sunday is a grim reminder that evil minded people are hell bent in instilling fear in the minds of the faithfuls. Targeting places of worship is sadly becoming the new normal for such elements. But we shall overcome.
It is chilling, coming on the back of the horrendous terrorist attack in the mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, but we will win. It is also a call for governments to tighten their security networks. The fight against such evil needs to be further strengthened.
Sri Lanka was peaceful for nearly a decade. We pray peace reigns once more.
