Summer is a great time to see new movies, especially when you haven’t seen something good in a while. This summer season is looking like an exciting one already with Toy Story 4 opening this weekend around the country. This week we take a look at some of the hottest movies coming out over the next few months.
Can you believe it has been 24 years since the release of the first Toy Story? It has also been nine years since the release of the last one. Toy Story 4 is out this weekend with Woody and Buzz Lightyear back for another adventure. This is sure to be a big hit with audiences of all ages.
Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas reunite in Pedro Almodovar’s Spanish drama Pain & Glory about a declining Spanish director. The movie was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where Banderas won the award for Best Actor and Alberto Iglesias won the award for Best Soundtrack. The film has already generated Oscar buzz.
It: Chapter One was a huge box-office success so the chances of
It: Chapter Two being successful after pretty high. Pennywise the terrifying clown is back to torment his victims in the second chapter of the horror story. The characters are 27 years older in this movie but the original cast do return in flashbacks.
Downton Abbey fans may not have got their wish of another season, but a movie should keep them happy for now. Nearly the entire cast of the popular British show return for the movie which centres on King George V and Queen Mary visiting the estate. There are a few new faces to the cast including Imelda Staunton, Simon Jones and Tuppence Middleton. I hope this movie does the show justice and is just as good.
