Dubai rocks

Dubai is among one the top tourist destinations for Indians and so it comes as no surprise that over two million visited the ‘glowing’ city last year (“Dubai welcomes record tourist arrivals in 2019,” Jan.22, Gulf Today).
The emirate welcomed a record 16.73 million tourists in 2019, an improvement of over five per cent compared to the previous two years and in all probabilities it will breach the 20 million mark this year considering that Dubai will be hosting the six-month global trade fair Expo 2020, starting in October.
Dubai gives top priority to the tourism sector. Earlier this month, the UAE introduced a multiple-entry visa scheme valid for five years for all nationalities. Also a recent report by Resonance Consultancy, ranked Dubai the No.1 spot among the cities in the Middle East and Africa and placed in the top ten in the World’s Best Cities of 2010. Hats off to Dubai.
