The whole world is going through a horrible situation: number one, the fear of death because of coronavirus, plus unbearable losses to the world economy because of lockdown in many parts of the world. The International Monetary Fund chief Kristalina Georgieva says: “We have entered a recession that will be worse than in 2009 following the global financial crisis (“Clear we have entered recession, says IMF chief,” March 28, Gulf Today).
I hope countries stop blame games about the killer coronavirus, blaming each other for the spread of the disease. I hope the world forgets about all enmity for the sake of mankind.
Humans are the most precious creation of the God Almighty, a beauty of the world — if humans survive, countries will survive, and the whole world will survive.
We humans made the borders and now want to rule not only our countries but also the whole world the way we want. We totally forget about the promise we made with God that we would worship and obey the rules of the Almighty.
According to Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund, governments in emerging markets, which have suffered an exodus of capital of more than $83 billion in recent weeks, can cover much of that, but “clearly the domestic resources are insufficient” and many already have high debt loads. Over 80 countries, mostly of low incomes, have already requested emergency aid from the International Monetary Fund.
“We do know that their own reserves and domestic resources will not be sufficient,” Georgieva said, adding that the fund is aiming to beef up its response “to do more, do it better, do it faster than ever before.”
A microscopic bug (coronavirus) shut down the world. To fight with coronavirus worldwide needs a huge amount of money but the financial situation is getting worse. I am afraid of the time when rich countries will not be able to help poor countries then what will happen. It is time to make special prayers to God Almighty to forgive our sins, mistakes and make the world the same place where everyone was happy with each other.
