It seems that the world has to learn to live with the coronavirus pandemic till a successful treatment comes into an effect (“Italy to allow unrestricted travel starting early June,” May 16, Gulf Today).
Italy, a beautiful country, is one of the worst coronavirus-hit countries in the world that lost more than 35,000 people in the war against COVID-19.
But yet again the lockdown is not the solution to the coronavirus problem. I think, the decision of the Italian government to allow unrestricted travel from early June is the best decision and is timely.
Italy is a tourist’s go-to destination. People around the world love to visit this country and spend the best time of their lives.
Tourism is a main source of the Italian economy, so I believe that the decision to lift the ban on travel is the best decision by the Italian government.
