India will complete over two months under lockdown by the time the fourth phase ends. One can hardly imagine the hardships migrants would have gone through by that time (“India extends lockdown for two more weeks as virus cases top 91,000,” May 18, Gulf Today).
Yes, I know India now has the most confirmed virus cases in Asia. I know fatalities are on the rise. What I don’t know are the government measures for the populace who are alive, specially the migrants.
The way things are going the migrants will soon be dying of starvation and fatigue. And no one will give us those figures. Wake up India to the real threat.
