The threat of COVID-19 pandemic is not over at all. The world has to be careful till the coronavirus vaccine is introduced with the approval of the World Health Organisation, and available for everyone (“New Zealand extends Auckland virus lockdown by 12 days,” Aug.14, Gulf Today).
It is definitely the second wave of coronavirus COVID-19 New Zealand is facing. Earlier, it fought the coronavirus so well and became an example for the whole world of how to cope with a deadly situation of COVID-19.
The coronavirus vaccine is the only solution to eradicate the deadly disease from the world. So, till the time an approved coronavirus vaccine from the World Health Organisation is introduced, the world should not take coronavirus easily.
According to the reports, two of the infections were found in the town of Tokoroa, around 210 kilometres (130 miles) south of Auckland. Authorities are still struggling to find out how the virus came to return to New Zealand, which had earned global praise for its handling of the crisis.
The complete lockdown is not the solution to a coronavirus problem, but the world should adopt a smart strategy to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Social distancing is a key in the fight against coronavirus. People should pay attention to their government and follow all the guidelines provided by their government.
