I know we do not get much of an autumn here, actually I will rephrase that. I know that we get no autumn here, but I still take pleasure in saying the word autumn. This week we are looking at all the autumnal album releases from K-pop bands to the ever classy and relevant Kylie Minogue.
K-pop has take-off big time, not just in Asia but all over the world too. Blackpink made a huge impression at Coachella in 2019 and everyone expected them to explode in America after that. But their accent was slow, owing to the fact that COVID-19 put a stop to touring and they had some issues with their Korean label. After a few turbulent months their debut album is finally coming out. “Blackpink: The Album” features the smash single “How You Like That?” as well as “Ice Cream,” a collaboration with Selena Gomez.
Who doesn’t love Bruce Springsteen? Having personally met him though being friends with his daughter, I can honestly say he is a gentleman with one heck of a voice. Even though he is way before my generation, I can still relate to his music. Recorded live at his New Jersey home studio, Springsteen will be releasing his 20th album next month and I cannot wait to hear it.
In other news this week, turn to our Fitness pages to read about the top five exercises a Harvard doctor thinks you should be doing to keep fit. The benefits of swimming are endless and the best thing is that it can be done by people of all ages. It works nearly every muscle in your body and is also considered an aerobic exercise when done for 30-45 minutes regularly. Recent research suggests it could help battle depression, lift your mood and reduce stress.
