The UK is a shining example of a brilliant vaccine roll-out strategy. It has disbursed 15.8 million doses, aggregating to 23.7 doses per 100 persons in the country of 66 million, as on 14 February. The vaccination drive is being led strongly by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Countries like India can take lessons from the UK rollout. India has disbursed only 8.7 million doses till 15 February, aggregating to 0.6 doses per 100 persons.
Whilst the plan for domestic UK Vaccine Passports, is unlikely to be enforced, many private companies are considering taking the vaccine as a precondition for a new job. Some firms are also considering making the jab mandatory for existing employees. This makes perfect sense, for COVID-19 has to be neutralised at the earliest for economic activity to resume.
