It is very sad to see Bangladesh cricket team struggling to leave an impact on an International level for a very long time. Despite having good players in their side, like Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mustafizur Rahman and Soumya Sarkar, they have not been able to capitalise in any format of the game, whether it is Test, ODI or T20. I don’t know what’s wrong with them. They do win a couple of matches and managed to defeat Australia, India or others big teams but that is not enough.
They have never been able to become a force to reckon. Though they have been playing regular cricket for a very long time. They have never been consistent in their performance. Though Bangladeshi players play lots of franchise cricket also and do play with players of International repute, but they have failed to create an impact for their national team. A country, which is so passionate about cricket has not been able to see their team rising. I think it is high time that Bangladesh Cricket Board should think of it as a serious issue and try to help their players to improve it. They can also take help from sports psychologist to develop a different mindset.
