Winters are almost everyone’s favourite season. I have the Christmas tree beautifully set up with illuminated lights on decked up for another enchanted Christmas. I am in awe over what Santa is going to offer me this time.
You hu! Hearing the melodious Christmas hymns in malls and stores just makes me reminisce about my good old days in school when we used to have plenty of fun playing with classmates and having a variety of programmes, Christmas lunch, games, and competitions.
As I grow older the fun is pulled back to somewhat being reserved especially with the pandemic crisis that we all are going through but I strongly believe that there is no age limit to having fun.
It’s an auspicious feel when so many top-notch companies out here have their offices adorned with flowers, balloons, lamps adding to the festive mood.
It’s one of the few times a year that we get to be with friends and loved ones. Way back in the past joyful cards used to be delivered and it still holds a true meaning when you open and read them.
But now the era has turned out with everyone wishing each other through various social media forwarding messages that somebody else has sent without a halt.
Thanks to the hi-tech world for making our Christmas shopping at ease with everything available in our solace zone.
It’s just not about gift-giving and shopping but this is the time to look within ourselves and take steps to unload the burden, hurt, pain, and suffering many of us went through.
Thank for you opening the doors of the church. Let’s weld hands and celebrate this season of joy and happiness whilst I wait for my secret Santa.
