The shows to watch

I think it is safe to say that most of us won’t miss 2021. Covid, masks, vaccines and lately Omicron; what is there to miss really? Looking back at the world of television is a different story. There were some really good shows released this year and this week we are talking about our favourites.

When you hear that these actors have teamed up to star in a TV show together, you might wonder how. How do Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short star in anything together? But they do and it works. The mystery-comedy series “Only Murders in the Building,” created by Martin and John Hoffman, tells the tale of three strangers who share an obsession with a true crime podcast. We won’t spoil it for you, but this is a must see.

Another TV series I really enjoyed was “The White Lotus.” The satirical comedy-drama was written and directed by Mike White and features an ensemble cast. Murray Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Natasha Rothwell and Steve Zahn all end up staying at a tropical resort in Hawaii as we watch how each of their stories unfold. If you have not seen this one then you simply must, Jennifer Coolidge is hilarious.

In other news this week, turn to our Parenting page to read about how to manage aggression in young children. Most of them do go through a hitting stage until they realise that it is not an acceptable behaviour. It is all about impulse control and teaching them to make good choices. If they do hit, there needs to consistent consequences until the behaviour stops.
