We have so many organisations around the world like United Nations, Unicef, Nato and ILO which advocate poverty eradication, importance of women’s education, refugee settlement, climate change, peacekeeping and many more such issues.
They all have been doing their part. We appreciate all of them for doing great work. But I feel the time has come that these organisations should become more responsible.
These organisations need more teeth to manage the situation. The entire world is going through a crisis. We are witnessing what is happening in Ukraine and how common people are left to suffer. No body or no organisation including the United Nations could stop this so far. Powerful nations like the USA and UK too failed to stop this unprecedented human crisis and we are following news of the Rohingya crisis for a very long time and still nothing has been done. Now Sri Lanka is going through a tough time due to its domestic crisis and ultimately it is the common people who are suffering.
I don’t understand why the world is bothered about the climate issue. Or why Nasa is doing research to find alternative life on other planets. What is the point of spending billions or trillions on alternative life when we are unable to help people of this earth? I think we need to be conscious about our surroundings first. The world leaders should come forward to manage these crises.
They should act like big brothers irrespective of race, language or region.
