Everybody in India is talking about dashing cricketers Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw. Almost all former Indian cricketers have praised them for their extraordinary skill and temperament from the time they have started playing for the country.
Both of them have received lots of praise for being very ruthless batters. Lately, former Indian opening batsman Virendra Sehwag also has lauded both the batters and he feels that these two can make Test cricket interesting for Team India.
I completely agree with what Sehwag said about Rishabh and Prithvi, but I have never ever seen them consistent. I have been following them for a few years, but both of them have been erratic in their performance.
They are too casual and careless in their approach. Both of them have a tendency to throw away their wickets at any point without sensing the mood of the game. Even I have closely followed both the batters in the IPL and they looked good only in some areas.
I am not a cricketer, but when former cricketers praise them then I wonder what is so unique about them? There is no dearth of Indian players who can be groomed for the national team.
