The unfortunate plane crash incident that took place in a mountainside in Nepal with 22 people on board is extremely painful. There were 19 passengers and three crew members on board the Twin Otter aircraft, operated by Nepali carrier Tara Air (“Nepal army finds wreckage of missing plane,” May 30, Gulf today website).
Pokhara Airport spokesman Dev Raj Subedi told the media early on Monday morning that rescue helicopters and army troops on the ground had shifted their search to a suspected crash site.
Nepal Army spokesman Narayan Silwal announced that a search team has located the wreckage of the plane and shared a picture. Additional teams are heading there so we can get details.
An image shared by Silwal on Twitter showed debris from the wreckage of the flight strewn across a mountainside. Its registration number 9N-AET was clearly visible on what appeared to be a piece of a wing.
Nepal is one of the favourite countries people love to spend their vacations with their families, the reason for the plane crash was bad weather.
I would like to appreciate the quick rescue operation by the Nepal’s government to find the plane crash site and its team as they have recovered fourteen bodies in a short period of time.
My prayers and best wishes are with the families of people who lost their lives in the plane crash.
