Terrific Titans

The 15th edition of Indian Premier League, which concluded on Sunday at Ahmedabad, saw Gujarat Titans (GT) lifting the trophy. This year 10 teams took part in the tournament and GT, being the newest team, lifted the trophy. Led by maverick Hardik Pandya, GT surprised everyone with their smartness and skill. It is not easy to assemble a group of players and go on to lift a trophy, but GT has done it. Hardik deserves praise for leading his team from the front.

He himself batted and bowled well throughout the tournament. He has completely silenced his critics with his performance. In fact, former players have started looking at him as a serious contender for Team India captaincy. Now, he will be watched closely by BCCI. Hardik is one of the best all-rounders India has at the moment and is extremely talented and his game sense is great. I hope he continues to play like this and remain injury-free then he can be a huge asset for Team India. People have high expectations from him. Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s form is a cause for concern for BCCI, hence Hardik coming into form can be a hope for the country.
