Good news has started coming in as Eid Al Adha holidays are approaching. It’s time to get together with families, friends and relatives to celebrate the true spirit of Eid Al Adha (“Dubai announces free parking, beefs up security for Eid Al Adha holidays,” July 6, Gulf Today website).
According to the reports, Dubai RTA has announced free parking for Eid Al Adha holidays. “Public parking would be free from Friday (July 8) till Monday (July 11).”
However, it said that multi-level parking terminals will continue to be paid zones. The UAE has announced a 4-day holiday for Eid Al Adha for both the public and private sectors.
There is no doubt that the announcement made by the Dubai RTA about free parking for Eid Al Adha holidays is not less than an Eid gift for the general public.
People will celebrate Eid Al Adha without tension over parking fees. They can visit their families and friends and avail the free parking facility for Eid holidays.
The residents of the United Arab Emirates are the luckiest people in the world who enjoy safety and security around the year and live their lives with their families happily with respect and dignity. It’s also laudable as the Dubai Police General Command and partners have confirmed their readiness to ensure a secure, safe and happy Eid Al Adha holiday.
While addressing the media Major-General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Organisation Protective Security and Emergency and Chairman of the Events Security Committee, urged the public to cooperate with Dubai Police by adhering to the specified speed limits to avoid traffic accidents, and to take precautions by wearing masks and maintaining a physical distance in public places during the festive celebrations.
I am sure people will celebrate the biggest Islamic event Eid Al Adha with social responsibility. Not only they will enjoy the festive days alone but they will also help people around them that are less privileged and make their Eid Al Adha happy and memorable.
