For me London and Queen were always synonymous until I grew up. I grew up watching and reading about Queen Elizabeth II since the day I started going out to school. I would read in the magazine and newspapers about her life and journey. She had been a part and parcel of my life. Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in British history and an icon instantly recognisable to billions of people around the world, died on Thursday. She was 96. It was indeed a sad day for me and for all those people who loved her.
She was an epitome of elegance and class. Queen Elizabeth II had huge adoration from across the world. She was admired by world leaders be it Joe Biden, Narendra Modi, Nancy Pelosi, Justin Trudeau, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton or Emmanuel Macron. Everybody loved and adored her. She was very humble also. People in London would wait for hours and hours to get a glimpse of her on a social function. Her sense of dressing had always been amazing and she would look perfect on every occasions. I feel we have lost a motherly figure from the world.
