We all are enjoying the freedom social media has given to us in the past few years. Social media has empowered almost everyone. Now, we see almost everyone has an opinion on everything, whether it is Bollywood films, cricket, politics or religion. Earlier experts would write or say about something after getting expertise on the subjects, but these days things have completely changed. It was sad to see people started trolling Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh on dropping a catch in the Asia Cup.
People started saying bad words about a cricketer who has just started his innings in international cricket. It is also rampant to see ‘boycott Bollywood films’ these days. This is also very discouraging. We have recently seen “Laal Singh Chaddha” getting negative publicity on social media hence it suffered badly. Meanwhile, soon after the release of the teaser of the upcoming mythological film, “Adipurush,” calls for boycott trend again started. I don’t know who all are behind this trend, but this should be stopped, otherwise our society will unnecessary suffer. We should enjoy the freedom of social media but not at the cost of others.
