Khalifa University of Science and Technology is one of the top universities in the world. Khalifa University Center for Biotechnology (KU-BTC) has become the first non-diagnostic research laboratory in the UAE to get accredited by the Department of Health — Abu Dhabi. I am sure a non-diagnostic research laboratory will produce highly professional doctors and scientists in future (“Honour for Khalifa University’s biotech centre, Oct. 7, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, the Department of Health accreditation means that KU-BTC has the required setup and the infrastructure to train fresh graduate students, interns, volunteers in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Clinical Biochemistry in a world-class environment for up to six months.
Moreover, graduates from Khalifa University or any other local or international institutions, who are looking to be qualified (licensed) as medical lab technologists, can start their work placement or internship with BTC, which will give them hands-on experience in molecular biology and genetics.
That Emirati students’ exemplary excellence in the field of medical, science and technology is highly commendable. Educated society only makes nations and countries proud all over the world.
The great leadership of the country always puts education and welfare of the society first to build a solid base for the coming generations.
The United Arab Emirates’ visionary leadership always supports equally Emirati men and women to excel in the field of medical, science, technology, engineering and mathematics and the shining results of the leadership surface in the shape of successful students.
