The United Arab Emirates is an example for the whole world to learn how the honest and hard-working leadership with its visionary plans puts the country on the path of economic stability and prosperity (“UAE an exception in global trade, economy: Sheikh Mohammed,” Dec.7, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, the UAE’s foreign non-oil trade created another record in the first nine months of 2022, totalling over Dhs1.6 trillion, a rise of 19 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said that despite the predictions of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) of a 3.5 per cent decline in international trade this year, the UAE achieved a growth of 19 per cent in the first nine months of the year.
The COVID-19 pandemic killed millions of people around the world. Billions of people are still fighting against the coronavirus for their lives.
The world’s economy suffered after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that jolted the world badly. Countries adopted the policy of lockdown to save people from the deadly virus, suspending travelling and serious COVID-19 restrictions were placed. The United Arab Emirates is one of those countries that fought against the COVID-19 pandemic very wisely; not only has the United Arab Emirates saved millions of precious lives but kept its economy on the right track. Despite the difficulties, the UAE economy is solid and it shows the quality of visionary leaders who rule the country. There is no doubt that the UAE is one of the best nations in the world because their leadership always keeps the people first, and works hard to make the common people’s lives better, providing them with a high standard of education and great health facilities.
I would like to congratulate the UAE leadership as the UAE has achieved a growth of 19 per cent in the first nine months of the year which is highly laudable.
