What an allure to see the churchgoers grin and sing the beautiful Xmas carols. It’s time for music concerts with many tickets being sold out to the public as this beauty prepares us for another enchanted Christmas. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells – one hears the melodious Christmas hymns in chorus the altar boys playing the tambourine, I can see street lights illuminated with decorative lights, workers in many shopping malls busy trying to fix the Largest Christmas tree.
Chuckling I fervently look for Santa Claus or Father Christmas who is supposed to appear to distribute attractive gifts to the children on the day. We chant Santa is coming to town.
Yep! he is coming down with a lot of goodies. Many of us around the globe are getting geared up to celebrate this festival with joy, merriment, and enjoyment. It is also one of the few times a year that almost everyone in the family friends, flora, and fauna get together. Joyful carols, special liturgies, brightly wrapped gifts, festive foods – all these characterise the feast today.
Unfortunately, the little smiles from everyone have disappeared living in today’s rat race world with society being a little naive and reserved with all the previous “COVID interludes” we had gone through.
Free ourselves without the masks on as it’s time to celebrate. Like every year this year, Christians around the world will be busy on the Eve of Christmas preparing some mouth-watering Christmas recipes and attending the most prestigious Christmas mass. Christmas is not all about gift-giving and shopping for expensive items to give away. It’s time to look within yourself and take the necessary steps to unload the burden, hurt, pain and suffering.
