It’s highly laudable that the United Arab Emirates sent 27 UAE aid planes to its brotherly countries Syria and Turkey in their times of hardship. The UAE is always a frontline country with wholehearted help for people around the world whenever they face tough times (“27 UAE aid planes sent to Syria, Turkey under ‘Gallant Knight/2’ operation for quake victims,” Feb.11, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, the UAE has sent five aircraft carrying relief supplies, which arrived on Friday in Turkey and Syria, bringing the total to 27 aircraft sent so far under the ‘Gallant Knight/2’ operation, launched with the purpose of aiding earthquake-affected people in both countries.
To date, the UAE has sent a total of 17 aircraft to Turkey, with the two that arrived on Friday.
The UAE’s search and rescue teams are continuing their efforts despite the harsh weather conditions, having rescued 4 people in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, and retrieved nine bodies from under the rubble. The UAE has, so far, sent search and rescue teams, which comprise 92 members, to Turkey.
People of Syria and Turkey are going through a hard time, dealing with the deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake that has jolted both the countries and thousands of people have died so far. There are thousands of people who are under the sky due to destroyed homes and looking for generous help from their brotherly countries and their respective governments.
I am sure the governments of Syria and Turkey are doing their level best to cope with the natural disaster, but it’s also so important for the world to keep helping their brothers and sisters in Syria and Turkey.
Hats off to the UAE leadership which showed its generous help and sent 27 aircraft so far under the ‘Gallant Knight/2’ operation, launched with the purpose of aiding earthquake-affected people in both countries.
The UAE is always there for its Syria and Turkey brothers and sisters to cope with the serious situation people of Syria and Turkey are facing.
