Perfect place

When we think of International Women’s Day, UAE is the first country that comes to my mind. Though we call it International Women’s Day I feel women are safe and secure in the UAE. I have been to many places like Amsterdam, Paris, London, Mumbai and Colombo but in the UAE I have noticed that women can move about freely. I can see women going out in the night or coming from work early in the morning without any hesitation.  

Most of the schools have female teachers and female principals. Almost all the outlets in the malls have women’s presence. Even restaurants have women staff. I feel thrilled to see women secured and respected. I feel fortunate to have been living in the UAE, where women are respected. Even we have so many female ministers in the UAE. I salute UAE leaders for giving opportunities to women. I am happy to have been living in the UAE with my daughter who is growing up confident. I feel other nations should look to the UAE for inspiration.
