Women and children are the most vulnerable sections in a society during a war. The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia leaves a big question behind, as the plight of the vulnerable remains a concern. In Ukraine, their living conditions have been touching and becoming pathetic for over a year of conflict. Due to the continuing unrest, they need a boost to overcome the struggles, especially for the children in their early days, which are disrupted during conflicts.
The images appearing on television screens and press reports show how deep the traumas of conflict have been, as the fate of the children has become beyond imagination.
The reality is that conflicts around the world pay little attention to childcare, and eventually, their leisure time of the early days has become so challenging in the neighbourhood. Their hope for an early return to normal routine is becoming unpredictable at this time of unending conflict.
In civilian casualties, the highest number of child deaths have been reported in Syria, Afghanistan and some of the African countries in recent times. The impact of armed conflicts leaves children’s lives miserable in every aspect. Learning from such unfortunate past and present instances, let responsible world leaders try to resolve the Ukraine conflict at the earliest, hoping the young generation in the country will return to their normal life, like many others do in the rest of the world.
