After a composed month of prayer and sacrifice the Eid holidays were something that I revere this time spending it with zeal. I being someone who always programmed my holidays never go hay why as I love pre-planning as to what to do and where to head to. Might be the three days were not enough and anything pending I missed is carried forward for the next holidays so as always cite there is a next time.
This time I had a chance to visit the Deira Gold Souq on the 1st day of Eid and since I have been domiciled in the UAE all my life I was taken aback by those evocative moments of how Deira was compared to how it is now. We took a ride on the dhow cruise a 2-hour journey filled with music, noise, and bhangra music and it was like an episode that I will always cherish in my heart.
An evening relished with a buffet dinner and live entertainment. Although my wife was shocked to see the number of guests thinking it will be just the two of us we still tried to manage to accommodate and experience the beauty of Dubai with our Dubai Stream sightseeing visit that took us on a jaunt through the ages of the rich Arabian culture. Our little trek was along the tranquil water that separates the city into two primary regions Deira and Bur Dubai.
Most importantly we partook in scrumptious supper alongside the hypnotizing view especially the music shows, tanoura dance shows that took my gulp away. Thanks to the photographer for taking the best photogenic shots whilst we were seated getting ready for the ride.
Seeing the massive crowd made me compose my own video footage for my personal blogs with numerous social lovers and bloggers in love with it. I have never ever seen such a huge crowd thronging to Gold Souq with many pushing and pulling to get their last bookings before seats get full. On another side, there were many visitors in groups having their little fun house listening to music, cracking puns, and playing games everybody looking like bunts and bubbles.
After the ride, we arrived safely and sped off home listening to those fast numbers with all of us also getting ready for the weekend. We are now back getting decked up for our usual 8-hour work.
