Dubai Metro is indeed a lifeline for us. We feel relaxed travelling anywhere in Dubai. Most of the people have embraced Dubai Metro for their day-to-day activity. It has also become a boon for college-going students. It is always on time. It saves their time and energy.
They take the metro to go to college. We as parents feel so relieved (“2 billion passengers have used Dubai Metro since its inauguration in 2009,” April 23, 2023, Gulf Today.)
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on Twitter, “Today, the number of Dubai Metro passengers has reached 2 billion since its inauguration on 9 September 2009. Dubai Metro has 129 trains, 53 stations, and serves more than 600,000 passengers per day at a punctuality of 99.7%.” I appreciate the Dubai Ruler for giving us such a lovely gift in terms of Dubai Metro.
Today most of the people in Dubai prefer to go by metro than taxi. It saves our energy and time. On the weekend I always take the metro for shopping with my family and it is indeed fun. I don’t need to drive. I also don’t have to worry about finding a parking slot.
