The United Arab Emirates always remains a steadfast brother to the Islamic countries whenever they need help in their hard times. Once again the UAE is the first country to help its brothers and sisters who are going through their tough time with basic food supplies and evacuating them from war-hit Sudan (“Injured child among 178 others evacuated by UAE from war-hit Sudan,” Gulf Today website).
According to the report, an evacuation plane carrying 178 nationals from seven countries arrived in the UAE from Sudan, which has experienced clashes since mid-April.
The plane carried the most vulnerable groups of the sick, children, the elderly, and women, as the UAE has placed them at the top of its priorities. Among those evacuated onboard the flight was a Sudanese child who was injured in ongoing clashes in Sudan and was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi to receive the necessary medical care.
The UAE has already sent the first shipment of 30 tonnes of basic food supplies through Emirates airline to Sudan to provide urgent support to thousands of Sudanese families affected by the current situation. Hats off to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates who reached out to the poor people of war-hit Sudan.
