The war only produces destruction and misery. War makes warring countries economically weak and people of the countries suffer uncountable difficulties (“Russia fires missiles on Kyiv in rare daytime attack,” May 30, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, Russia fired a barrage of missiles at Kyiv on Monday, sending panicked residents running for shelter in an unusual daytime attack on the Ukrainian capital following overnight strikes.
A series of explosions rang out in Kyiv as Russia targeted the city for the second time in 24 hours.
The latest barrage landed as the Ukrainian capital was still recovering from an overnight Saturday drone attack, the biggest since Russia’s invasion began in February last year.
AFP journalists heard at least 10 explosions from around 11:10 am local time (0810 GMT) in Kyiv, starting just a few minutes after an air raid warning sounded.
It’s so unfortunate that it’s been more than a year since the war between Russia and Ukraine started, resulting only in loss of precious lives on both sides, destruction and misery.
Nothing is impossible in the world to achieve. Where there’s a will, there is a way. The deadly conflicts between Russia and Ukraine can be addressed through peaceful dialogue rather than continuing fighting each other and killing innocent people destroying cities.
The world’s powerful countries should play their vital role bringing leaders of both countries to start negotiations for a peaceful solution to the deadly conflict which is not only beneficial for the warring countries but also for the whole world.
