Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clinched their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title, equalling a record with Mumbai Indians. They secured a five-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT) amidst a backdrop of fireworks and jubilant celebrations. CSK’s captain, Dhoni, received the IPL trophy and subsequently handed it over to Rayudu and Jadeja. It was a great match to watch indeed. Due to rain, the match had to stop for some time in the night, but 75,000 cricket-lovers were sitting intact on their chair to see Dhoni lifting the title once again.
The way Dhoni led his team is remarkable. Every player of his team gave their best for this match too. He is indeed a leader who knows how to get things done. Younger players should learn from him. The way he has managed to keep himself cool and grounded is something incredible. One of the most successful and loved captains of India, Dhoni carries a humble head on his strong shoulders. With this victory, he has proved that he is still relevant. I think BCCI should utilise his experience for the betterment of the game in India.
