There is no doubt that Twitter has enjoyed the status of a darling social media platform all around the world by billions of its users but its fame has been affected after Elon Musk purchased Twitter and made changes which are unacceptable for the users (“Twitter, Meta among most hated social media platforms in America, says poll,” June 8, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, social media giants are getting the wrong end of the stick from netizens — and there seems to be a good reason for that. Facebook — now known as Meta — was under fire for the way it handled user data. Even Twitter has got quite a battering – and the Musk of the two Ts, Tesla and Twitter, has apparently been responsible for the popularity of the Net giant going downhill. Now a good number of Americans hate both Meta and Twitter. The two online stalwarts are among the most hated brands in the United States. Elon Musk has a huge responsibility as an owner of one of the most-loved social media platforms in the world, Twitter, to listen to users’ voices and make reasonable changes to make its users happy. Otherwise there are many other options and people will easily shift to other social media platforms.
