We are over the halfway mark of 2023 already and we thought it would be a good time to reflect on the world of cinema. This week we are taking a look at some of the best movies which have come out so far this year.
I’d have to agree with the critics in saying it’s been a pretty good year for films so far. In “The Eight Mountains,” we watch the story of two childhood friends who are torn apart but reunited later due to a twist of fate. This movie is based off the bestseller novel by the author Paolo Cognetti, which was released back in 2016. The movie is actually in Italian so if you don’t mind watching it with subtitles, I highly recommend it.
Another one worth watching is “Other People’s Children.” I believe that any film which takes place in Paris should be watched. Virginie Efira plays the lead role in this French drama directed by Rebecca Zlotowski. It’s not your typical romantic film as it avoids the clichés that most of these types of movies tend to have. Again, unless you speak French, you’ll need subtitles but it is so worth watching.
In other news this week, turn to our Health pages to read about how mindfulness meditation can help with your mental and physical health. We should all know by now the role that the mind plays on our health and we should be doing everything we can to create a balance within ourselves to stay healthy. A few minutes of meditation a day will do wonders for your whole being.
