Once again the United Arab Emirates will have a long weekend to celebrate the Islamic New Year with their families and friends. The United Arab Emirates Directorate of Human Resources in Sharjah announced four days of Islamic New Year holidays starting from Thursday to Sunday (“Sharjah announces 4-day Islamic New Year holidays,” July 13, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, The Directorate of Human Resources in Sharjah issued a circular regarding the holiday of the new Hijri year 1445, deciding that the holiday will be on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Official duty will resume on Monday, July 24, 2023, the circular added.
On this occasion, the Directorate of Human Resources in Sharjah has extended its congratulations to the UAE’s leadership and people, and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations.
After Eid Al Adha holidays another long weekend for the people living in Sharjah will celebrate the Islamic New Year with lots of prayers for their families and the country.
