The United Arab Emirates has experienced the highest temperature scaling 50.1°C at 14:30 UAE local time in the country. It is the summer season and showing its true colours (“Temperature climbs to record 50.1°C in UAE,” July 16, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, Bida Dafas in Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi recorded on Friday, the highest temperature in the country, 50.1°C at 14:30 UAE local time, while the lowest temperature was recorded in Farfar in Fujairah, 25.3°C, at 6.30am. On Saturday, the country witnessed a rise in temperature in separate areas, as it recorded 49.1°C in Wateed in Al Dhafra at 13:45 in the afternoon, while it recorded 48.8°C in the afternoon.
I am sure people who live in the United Arab Emirates are used to it and it will not be a problem for them to manage with seasonally hot days. But it is our prime responsibility to take precautionary measures. The frequent usage of the drinking water will be the best safeguard of avoiding dehydration. People should avoid going in the sun if there is nothing important to do. They should pay attention to the direction provided by the weather department of the country which is beneficial for all of us.
