It’s so unfortunate that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine remains unsolved. The war has entered its second year. There is no gain for both the sides but they faced huge financial losses, destruction in the countries and they have lost many brave sons of the soil since the start of the insane war between Russia and Ukraine (“Russia strikes Ukraine’s Danube port, driving up global grain prices,” Aug.3, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, Russia attacked Ukraine’s main inland port across the Danube River from Romania on Wednesday, sending global food prices higher as it ramped up its use of force to prevent Ukraine from exporting grain. The drone attacks destroyed buildings in the port of Izmail and halted ships as they prepared to arrive there to load with Ukrainian grain in defiance of a de-facto blockade Russia reimposed in mid-July.
The need of the hour is to start meaningful dialogue to end the insane war between Russia and Ukraine which has only produced misery.
I hope the world will play its vital role in bringing both the warring parties to the negotiating table and make sure the conflicts between both the parties be addressed honestly so that the ongoing war can come to its logical end.
