Leading India’s fast bowling attack, Mohammed Siraj ran through the Sri Lanka top-order in a dazzling performance in the summit clash at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday has shown a big heart and announced that the cash prize which he won as “Player of the Match” which was $5,000 was dedicated to the groundsmenof the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo who had done a great job in keeping the ground ready for the final in spite of the continuous rain breaks during the matches in the whole tournament.
Pace bowler Mohammed Siraj, who returned figures of 6-21 to lead India’s rout of Sri Lanka by 10 wickets as they clinched their eighth Asia Cup title. Siraj was the hero on Sunday. The way he has improved in the past 2 years shows he is destined for bigger thing in life. With each passing days, he is improving day by day as a bowler. I must give credit to Virat Kolhi first for supporting him always. The way Virat has shaped this guy is incredible. Siraj started his IPL journey under Virat for RCB and that has helped this pacer to learn a lot. India has seen many bowlers in the past who all started with Siraj, but Siraj is the only one who could sustain himself and has become a bankable bowler for Team India. Not only that he is an excellent bowler, but he is also one of the fittest one.
