I have always believed that winning or losing a game is a matter of habit. This was proved right once again by mighty Australia, when they defeated another giant New Zealand in a very tight match on Saturday.
The way Australian batters started their innings show their class and mindset. Veteran opener batter David Warner and Travis Head gave Australia a very solid start and the team ended with 388 runs. They managed to defeat New Zealand by five runs and it turned out to be a thrilling finish.
Though Australia started their World Cup campaign with two back to back loses. They lost their first match against India by six wickets, and the second by South Africa by 134 runs. Any other team would have lost their hope but it was Australia, which managed to bounce back.
They not only bounced back, but also started winning matches. They have won four out of six matches they have played so far and managed to stay in contention. No wonder people call Australia a resilient great team. No wonder Australia have always dominated the game.
I feel young teams like Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Netherlands can learn from Australia. As a cricket fan I too have always admired Australian mindset.
