The ICC Cricket World Cup is almost ready for culmination on Sunday. India, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand have managed to stay in the top four in the tournament.
Let’s see which teams qualify for the final because all the four teams are in very good form, barring South Africa, which has a history of running out of steam in a high-octane game. But the biggest disappointment is England, which has failed to make a mark. We all expected the English team to do well, but they failed badly.
None of their batters looked in good form. A relatively young Afghanistan team has showed great improvement. They played some good cricket and I am sure they will gain confidence with their unprecedented performance and would do much better in times to come.
Sri Lanka too disappointed this year with their performance. Meanwhile, Pakistan also played some good cricket but could not qualify for the semi-final. At the end of the day, this is just a game and in the game anything can happen and we fans should be ready to support our teams.
We should enjoy the game irrespective of results. Anything can happen in a game. We have seen in the past that Australia has dominated the game, then England ruled the game, India and Pakistan have also dominated at one point of time. That’s how the game has been entertaining us, that’s why we call it a game of glorious uncertainty.
