Trump’s future

If the US Supreme Court or other US courts don’t disqualify Trump from contesting the US presidency, similar to the recent action taken by the Colorado Supreme Court, there is a possibility of Trump resuming the post of US president in the near future (“Poll shows Trump defeating Biden at the hustings,” Dec.21, Gulf Today website).

The potential return of Trump to the US presidency could lead to significant global disruptions. His established positions on crucial matters such as Russia, Israel, North Korea, China, climate change, NATO, immigration and world trade are well-known, and any alteration in the current setup could have profound consequences. Uncertainties may arise concerning the future of NATO, financing for the Ukraine war, and progress toward Net Zero at a critical time. Only time will reveal whether Trump 2.0 would be perceived as a blessing or a potential disaster.
