Alarming report

The European climate agency reported and mentioned that 2023 was the hottest year on record, which shows the alarming situation the world is facing. Climate change is the burning issue which is the biggest threat to the existence of the world (“2023 hottest year on record as Earth nears critical 1.5°C limit,” Jan.10, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the Earth last year shattered global annual heat records, flirted with the world’s agreed-upon warming threshold and showed more signs of a feverish planet, the European climate agency said.

There is no doubt that climate change is gripping the world slowly and gradually as the world has witnessed scorching heat waves, unusually heavy rain, flooding and wildfire which killed hundreds of innocent people in many parts of the world and many countries faced heavy financial losses.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s the need of the hour to fight against climate change unitedly. There is nothing impossible to achieve in this world. It needs only firm commitment from everyone. I am sure the world has the ability to get fruitful results by adopting firm measures to counter climate change.
