The news of coronavirus cases from many parts of the world is once again making headlines which is a matter of serious concern. COVID-19, the deadly pandemic, which claimed millions of precious lives worldwide is still not over completely (“WHO sees ‘incredibly low’ COVID, flu vaccination rates as cases surge,” Jan.12, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, low vaccination rates against the latest versions of COVID-19 and influenza are putting pressure on healthcare systems this winter, leading public health officials told Reuters. In the United States, several European countries, and other parts of the world, there have been reports of rising hospitalisations linked to respiratory infections in recent weeks. Death rates have also ticked up among older adults in some regions, but far below the COVID pandemic peak.
The way the world has fought unitedly against the COVID-19 pandemic is exemplary. In a short period of time developing COVID-19 vaccines and making sure everyone will be vaccinated shows the strength of unity among all countries.
Hats off to the medical scientists who work day and night and developed coronavirus vaccines which played a huge part in saving precious lives worldwide. As the cases of coronavirus are on the rise it’s so important to follow the COVID-19 standard operation process and don’t compromise on COVID, flu vaccination.
