There is no doubt that AfD party is the most popular political party in Germany but the protest in a huge number of people against far right AfD party demands the government to address the public issue (“At least 150,000 gather in Berlin to protest against far right AfD party,” Feb.3, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, at least 150,000 people gathered in front of the German national parliament on Saturday afternoon to protest against the far right, the latest in a string of large weekend demonstrations across Germany. The pro-democracy demonstrations started three weeks ago.
Civilian governments all over the world have the responsibility to listen to the grievances of its people and resolve it in a civilised manner. The use of government machinery against its people will not solve any problem but it will ignite the burning issues against the government to the next level.
I am sure the German government will start negotiations with protesting party leaders and make sure the both sides will agree on the peaceful resolution of the conflict in the best interest of the people of Germany.
