The cowardly terrorism attacks in two separate political offices in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday are highly condemnable and call for across-the-board operations against terrorist groups in the country (“29 dead as twin blasts hit Pakistan’s Balochistan province on eve of election,” Feb. 7, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, bombs ripped through two separate political offices in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, killing at least 29 people and wounding more than two dozen, officials said, the day before the country was set to elect a new parliament.
The attacks in Balochistan province raised concerns for the election in the troubled Western ally.
It’s so unfortunate that at the time when the country is going through the general election process the rise in terrorism in Pakistan portrays the sorry state of the law and order situation.
Pakistan has paid a huge price for fighting terrorism in the country, more than 80,000 civilian and paramilitary forces have sacrificed their precious lives and the country has suffered heavy economic losses.
Once again the law and order situation in Pakistan demands a united fight, eradicating terrorism from the country once and for all.
