We are living in the digital era. Our life is surrounded by gadgets. We spend most of our time on phone and laptop. We have become addicted to social media. Our life revolves around likes and dislikes.
I don’t know whether this habit is correct or not but we all do it. But recently I had the opportunity to visit my hometown in India for a week. I did not have the access to Internet. But what I enjoyed the most is my life there without social media. I met with my family and relatives. Kept on talking for hours and hours. I noticed everybody has time in my town.
They had laptops and phones but they were just using it for work purposes. They were not like us who checks phone at every 5 minutes. I felt I had enough time in India. I really enjoyed my time there without gadgets. I felt relaxed and I also realised as if I had rested a lot though I was very busy in meeting my family members and friends. Now I am back to Dubai. But I could feel a difference in my approach. Now I am trying to become little sober. I don’t use social media much. Let’s see how far I can take this learning.
