It is wonderful to see Azhar Mahmood coming back to Pakistan as head coach. I am sure his presence will make huge difference. He is an excellent coach, who has enough experience. He himself was a great all-rounder and a match-winner during his time. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood as head coach of the national men’s team for a five-match Twenty20 international series against New Zealand. The matches will be played in Rawalpindi (April 18, 20 and 21) and Lahore (April 25 and 27).
Azhar represented Pakistan in 164 internationals, taking 162 wickets and scoring 2,421 runs. He was the bowling coach from 2016-19. I am very much optimistic with Pakistan cricket team. Lots of changes happened in the team. Players were also given opportunity to train hard. So, the team is looking fit and positive. I am sure Babar Azam will have different approach as a captain. Now he has enough experience to take his team to a different level. Two most talented players Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim have joined the team and their presence will boost Pakistan team for sure. Overall the team is looking very balanced.
