My daughter is in grade 10. This is a very crucial year for her, as she will have to appear for the board exams. Board examinations for the Indian curriculum is a landmark for us. It sets the tone for higher education. When it rained on Tuesday, she could not go to school and I was worried about her studies but I must appreciate her school for shifting on to remote learning mode in no time. I felt relieved after seeing her attending online classes.
I also appreciate KHDA for guiding all schools in Dubai. I also appreciate the school authorities for shifting gears under such stressful circumstances. It is not easy to shift gears so fast. From Tuesday till today, I get a mail from her school daily asking if I have any issues. Even the class teacher calls daily to see how things are going on.
The way schools in Dubai communicate with parents is incredible. I feel relaxed now. My daughter is also very happy with her remote learning. She is not missing her classes at all and clearing all her doubts with her teachers. I also have no words to express my thanks to teachers for working so hard to ensure learning continues. Last time, I had experienced the same during the Covid-19 pandemic when teaching communities went out of their way to help us.
