It’s so sad, shocking and an unfortunate incident that a stage collapses during a Mexican election campaign rally on Wednesday in which innocent people have lost their precious lives (“Nine killed in Mexico stage collapse at campaign event,” May 24, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, around 50 people were injured at the rally for the Citizens’ Movement party in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, Samuel Garcia, the state’s governor, said on social media. The victims were eight adults and one child, Garcia said, adding he was headed to a hospital where three people were in surgery. Many of the injured were being treated at local clinics, the director of Mexico’s social security institute reported.
The highly charged and vibrant event of a Mexican election campaign rally turned into misery when high winds tore apart the large, concert-style stage in Mexico.
The election campaigns all over the world are like a festival for the supporters of political parties. People love to participate in the election campaign to support their candidates and enjoy chanting slogans, singing party songs, and to adore every second of the campaign, but when the unfortunate incidents occur the fun turns into misery.
