The eminent star of Pakistani film and drama industry, Talat Hussain, who passed away at the age of 83, left his fans, followers in tears and sadness. His world-known artistic work in several foreign films, television drama serials and long plays, including Channel Four’s television serial ‘Traffik and Family Pride’ will be remembered for ages (“Pakistan’s legendary artist Talat Hussain passes away in Karachi city,” May27, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, he was also awarded the Amanda Award in 2006 for best supporting actor in a Norwegian film “Import Eksport” and Nigar Award in 1986 for best supporting actor in film “Miss Bangkok.” He left an indelible mark on the Pakistani showbiz industry, from delightful dramas to insightful writing. He had a decades long career in acting, singing and arts. He also worked for some time for the BBC in London.
The history of Pakistani showbiz industry will always be incomplete without paying tribute to the versatile artist Talat Hussain for his undying work.
